Who I Work With
I specialize in working with boys and young men—primarily teenage boys and their families—navigating the often overwhelming challenges of growing up in today’s culture. I also support parents who are seeking guidance, perspective, and tools to strengthen their connection with their child.
Common Needs and Presentations
The young men and families I work with often come in facing one or more of these concerns:
Anxiety & Stress: Worries about school, sports, friendships, or the future that feel overwhelming or paralyzing.
Depression & Low Motivation: Withdrawal, sadness, loss of interest, or difficulty finding purpose.
Family Conflict: Strained parent–child relationships, frequent arguments, or communication breakdowns.
Behavioral Challenges: Struggles with rules, respect, anger, or impulsivity at home or school.
Social Struggles: Difficulty making or keeping friends, navigating peer pressure, or handling conflict.
Substance Use: Experimentation or reliance on drugs and alcohol that causes concern for the individual or family.
Life Transitions: Coping with divorce, blended family changes, loss, or big shifts in school/athletics.
Identity & Self-Confidence: Questions around self-worth, values, spirituality, or direction in life.
What Clients Are Looking For
Families who reach out to me aren’t looking for quick fixes—they’re looking for meaningful change. Most want:
A safe place where their son feels seen, understood, and respected.
Practical tools to handle stress, emotion, and conflict.
Restored communication and trust within the family.
Confidence that their child is moving toward maturity, responsibility, and resilience.
